2 STEPS TO A LONG-LASTING TAN

HOW TO GET THE MOST OUT OF YOUR SELF-TANNER

Like most things in life, achieving a flawless and long-lasting tan is easier when you take an “inside out” approach. This means taking the time to prepare your skin before applying your self-tanner so it’s able to quickly and evenly absorb into your already healthy skin. Here’s how to do it:

STEP 1 - EXFOLIATE

The best way to achieve an even golden tan is by creating smooth skin all over and removing those pesky dry patches that can lead to uneven colouring. Exfoliating removes dead skin cells to reveal the fresh layers of skin underneath. It also unclogs your pores while cleansing and softening your skin, creating the perfect base for your self-tanner.

HOW: For the best results, we recommend exfoliating your entire body a couple of times in the week leading up to using self-tanner. At the very least, be sure to exfoliate the night before you tan. Our Byron Bay Coffee Scrub is packed with phyto-active ingredients and enriched with Organic Kakadu Plum Oil meaning you’ll actually feel it working overnight to rejuvenate your skin.

STEP 2 - TAN

These days there’s no questioning that self-tanning is the way to go. Aside from it being safer than sun baking, it also means you can enjoy a golden glow year round, no matter your location or the weather conditions. Our Byron Bay Tan Self Tanning Foam is also enriched with superfoods and native Australian extracts so that you’re treating your skin to much needed moisture and nourishment.

HOW: Our Self-Tanning Foam is best applied with a velvet application mitt for even coverage. Simply pump once onto your mitt and start applying from the bottom up (lower legs to calves, then to your thighs, moving up to your mid-section and finishing with your upper body). The residual tan can be used on your feet, hands and face (you only need a little) and you can even add a tiny bit of foam to your moisturiser each day for a freshly tanned face.

The tan will only take a few minutes to dry and depending on how much you’d like the colour to develop (from subtle glow to deep bronze) you can shower within an hour or two, or leave it on all night. You can tan as frequently as you’d like to increase the colour, but be sure to moisturise nightly and give yourself an exfoliation weekly to avoid patchy colour build up.
